INTERFAX-YUG - While on combat duty on the Caspian coast in Dagestan, servicemen of the Bal coastal missile systems division of the Southern Military District successfully worked out electronic missile launches against the forces of a conditional enemy, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
"After receiving the target designations, the combat crews moved to the position where they deployed and performed electronic launches against the forces of a conditional enemy. The monitoring controls confirmed the successful defeat of all targets. Special attention was paid to efficiency and accuracy in obtaining information about the appearance of enemy forces and means," the report says.
It is noted that the purpose of the training is to improve the skills of military personnel when performing tasks to detect targets, issue target designations, prepare complexes for missile strikes in various situations and conduct electronic missile launches against a conditional enemy.
