On Tuesday, February 8, during an exercise at the Totsky training ground in the Orenburg region, the calculations of the Iskander-M tactical complexes of the Central Military District missile brigade worked out the destruction of targets at a range of more than 150 kilometers. This was reported by the press service of the Central Military District.
"The rocket men carried out conditional single and group launches against ground targets simulating anti-aircraft missile launchers and enemy infrastructure facilities," the press service said. "In addition, the servicemen marched to designated areas, equipped launch positions there, deployed missile systems and repelled the attack of conditional saboteurs."
Recall that the Iskander-M tactical missile system is designed to defeat small-sized and areal enemy targets. The objects of his strike may be the positions of enemy missiles, multiple launch rocket systems, long-range artillery, enemy aircraft and helicopters located at the airfield, his command posts and communication centers. Iskander gets all such targets from a distance of up to 500 kilometers.
The unpredictable trajectory and invisibility for radars, which is guaranteed by stealth technology, makes Iskander practically invulnerable to American Patriots and their European counterparts. Therefore, experts say: this military equipment is indispensable for the destruction of all existing anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems in the world. The undoubted advantage of Iskander is its mobility. Secretly moving from place to place, the complex remains invisible to the enemy. In addition, mobility guarantees the suddenness of a missile strike.
In addition to the launcher, the complex includes a transport-loading vehicle with two additional missiles, a routine maintenance vehicle, a mobile command post, an information preparation point, a set of arsenal equipment and training facilities.
Brigades of such missile systems are available in all military districts of Russia.
