Moscow. February 8. INTERFAX - This year, the troops of the Western Military District will receive more than 1.6 thousand devices of satellite navigation equipment for individual use, the press service of the Military District reported on Tuesday.
"Among the new equipment there will be such unique complexes as a mobile multipurpose topographic and geodetic complex "Volunteer" with an unmanned aerial vehicle "Corsair", as well as "Median" and staff (topographic) vehicles," said Colonel General Alexander Zhuravlev, commander of the Military Command, quoted by the press service.
It is noted that over the past 2021, the ZVO received more than 2 thousand samples of modern satellite navigation equipment, including the Orion and Median complexes.
"Today, the personnel of the topographic service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, following military traditions, honorably performs tasks on topogeodesic and navigation support. I congratulate the servicemen and veterans of the service on the 210th anniversary of their birth, I wish you and your loved ones good health, professional growth for the benefit of our Motherland - Russia," Zhuravlev said in his congratulation.
