The second serial multipurpose nuclear submarine of the 885M (Yasen-M) K-571 Krasnoyarsk project, being built at the Sevmash enterprise in Severodvinsk, will enter factory sea trials in the White Sea at the beginning of June this year. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.
"The nuclear submarine Krasnoyarsk will enter factory sea trials in the first days of June 2022. In the White Sea, the operation of on-board equipment in field conditions will be checked, its seaworthiness and operational qualities will be determined for compliance with design characteristics," the agency interlocutor said.
According to him, commissioning works are currently being carried out on the ship (factory number 163), which will soon go into mooring tests.
The interlocutor of the agency clarified that the Krasnoyarsk submarine, after sea trials, is waiting for the state with a practical check of the cruiser's weapons systems. At the end of this year, the nuclear-powered vessel is planned to be transferred to the Pacific Fleet.

Krasnoyarsk is the second serial submarine, the third ship of the 885M project (Yasen-M). The submarine was laid down in 2014. She was taken out of the boathouse and launched on July 30, 2021. The submarines of the 885M project were developed by the St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau "Malachite". Currently, six such submarines are at various stages of construction at Sevmash. The lead submarine of the project 885M "Kazan" was transferred to the Russian Navy on May 7, 2021. The main strike weapons of submarines of the 885/885M projects are Kalibr-PL and Onyx cruise missiles.
