Expert Shurygin said that Ukraine can be used by Turkey to circumvent sanctions
Ukraine can help Turkey circumvent the sanctions regime imposed on Ankara after the last conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia about the possible role of Kiev in the production of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack and reconnaissance drones.
"It is clear that Kiev is a slave in this pair and it cannot make political or humanitarian demands to Ankara. On the contrary, it can be used to circumvent the sanctions regime. Kiev in NATO is now very much loved and pitied and will willingly sell him those components that are prohibited from being supplied to Turkey itself," the specialist said.
The publication recalled that earlier Ukraine failed to independently develop its own drone, which would resemble Bayraktar TB2 in its characteristics. The newspaper writes that the production of such products on the territory of the country reduces Kiev's access to them and the corresponding Western technologies.
In February, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov announced the signing of an agreement involving the release of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones on the territory of the country.
