TSAMTO, February 4. The mountain compound of the 49th combined arms Army of the Southern Military District, stationed in Karachay-Cherkessia, received a new mobile complex for training mountain units.
More than 700 military personnel of the Southern Military District have started training in mountain training with the use of a new mining complex.
The mobile complex is designed to form the skills of movement in difficult terrain, develop various techniques and ways to overcome natural and artificial obstacles. The complex also contributes to the development of moral and psychophysical stability when overcoming hard-to-reach terrain, dexterity and coordination.
"For the first time the complex was presented at the closing of the competition of the Army international Games "Elbrus Ring" in 2021 at the Center for Mountain training and survival of military personnel "Terskol". During the closing of the competition, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolay Pankov inspected the new mobile complex, which then came to our compound," explained Captain Alexey Demish, Assistant commander of the Southern Military District mountain unit for physical training.
Also, during the training, the servicemen will improve the skills of overcoming rocky terrain of varying complexity using climbing equipment.
Up to 25 people can study at the same time at the mountain complex. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it can be deployed in places of training specialists in the shortest possible time, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
