The buildings are being reconstructed at the plant site
MOSCOW, February 1. /tass/. The plant for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles in Dubna, built at Kronstadt's own expense, will reach full capacity in 2024. This was reported to TASS by the company's press service.
"In 2022, work will continue on the site of a new serial plant, and several more buildings will be reconstructed on the territory of the neighboring Dubna Machine-Building Plant (DMZ, part of Kronstadt), with which they jointly form a Center for the production of drones. The serial plant will reach full production capacity in 2024," the press service reported.
The company clarified that the construction of the new enterprise was carried out for extra-budgetary funds and was carried out in record time - from April to December 2021. This is the first aviation plant built in post-Soviet Russia. "The Kronstadt company has invested 12.5 billion rubles in the construction of a serial plant and reconstruction of 14 buildings and workshops of the DMZ in 2021," Kronstadt JSC emphasized.
The press service noted that also during 2022, landscaping of the territory of the new plant will be carried out and parking will be created. "Two helicopter pads have already been made," the press service recalled.
"Thus, a production site has been formed that provides a full cycle of production of complexes with UAVS and has significant development potential," Kronshtadt JSC reported.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, during a visit to the workshops of the new Kronstadt plant, said that the UAV production plant that Kronstadt opened in Dubna would be able to produce deck-based unmanned aerial vehicles and helicopter-type vehicles. It is planned that the center will produce dozens of large-sized drones and ground control points for complexes with UAVs, and will also provide 1,500 jobs in the region.
