TSAMTO, January 31. The newest strategic missile submarine "Prince Oleg" of project 955A "Borey-A" has arrived at the main base of the Northern Fleet – Severomorsk - and has begun planned preparations for solving the tasks.
Upon arrival of the missile submarine at the base, it was examined by the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev and the fleet commission. The fleet commander assessed the condition of the ship and the progress of crew training. A.Moiseev noted the professionalism of the submariners and their desire for the speedy development of the cruiser.
In the Northern Fleet, the crew of the Prince Oleg RCSN will have to undergo a complex of basic training and pass course tasks at sea. After confirming the readiness of the crew for the inter-fleet crossing, the cruiser will go to a permanent place of service – to the Pacific Fleet at the Vilyuchinsk base on the Kamchatka Peninsula, the press service of the Northern Fleet reports.

The strategic missile submarine of Project 955A "Borey-A" "Prince Oleg" was built at JSC "PO "Sevmash" and successfully passed tests, including naval missile and torpedo weapons in the waters of the White Sea with the support of the forces of the White Sea Naval Base and the Northern Fleet. On December 21 last year, with the raising of the St. Andrew's flag, the ship was enlisted in the Russian Navy.
