Rostov-on-Don. January 30th. INTERFAX-SOUTH - Tankers of the military base of the Southern Military District in Adygea conducted night battles on modern T-72B3 tanks as part of operational and combat training classes, the press service of the Southern Military District reported on Saturday.
"Tank crews of the military base of the 49th Combined Arms Army (SE) stationed in Abkhazia, as part of planned operational and combat training at the Maikopsky training ground in Adygea, conducted night battles on modern T-72B3 tanks," the report says.
It is noted that the tankers demonstrated the skills of conducting combat operations, using the method of "tank duels", when one armored vehicle is in ambush, and the second operates at a distance of up to 4 km, covertly changing firing positions.
The participants of the "duel" discovered the opponent's tank, took aim at it and hit it with a guided missile. For an operational assessment of the actions of the tankers, each element of the battle was accompanied by reports to the head of classes by means of communication.
In addition, during tank duels, crews improved their skills of maneuvering in a real combat situation, choosing the most effective firing positions and camouflage, combat shooting at stationary and moving targets from T-72B3 guns.
