TSAMTO, January 28. As part of the continuation of the implementation of the Federal Target Program on the territory of the Novorossiysk Naval Base (NWMB) of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet), the construction of modern logistics facilities (MTO) continues.
The main component of this stage of construction is the continuation of the creation of MTO facilities on the western pier of the base for comprehensive support of the fleet forces.
A training center, a sports and recreation complex for personnel and a perimeter enclosing the mooring front and the military camp as a whole will also be built.
Currently, more than 70 percent of the planned infrastructure facilities have been erected at the base of the NVMB ships in accordance with the general construction plan.
The facilities already commissioned include the unique and unique Afalina training complex for submariners in the Russian Navy, as well as about 30 buildings and structures of coastal infrastructure.
Colossal hydraulic engineering works have been carried out in the geoport. The newest mooring front has been fully created, a system of protective jetties has been created: the eastern jetty with a length of 1400 m and the western pier with a length of 850 m have been put into operation.
The mooring front of the base point of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet's navy is among the top five largest hydraulic engineering facilities in the world in terms of its depth and length.
The system of hydraulic structures in the created military harbor ensures the complete safety of all ships and vessels in the parking lot under unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions.
