In the polymer-composite materials workshop, Sergey Bogatikov, General Director of Kronstadt JSC, reported to the Minister on the process of creating parts from composites. Up to 90% of the UAVs manufactured by the company use parts made of polymer-composite materials.
In the final assembly shop of the UAV, the head of the department was presented with Orion reconnaissance and strike drones delivered to the troops in varying degrees of readiness.
In addition, as part of the promising programs of the Kronstadt company, Sergei Shoigu was informed about the new Sirius unmanned complex contracted by the ministry, the Helios-RLD radar patrol UAV, and the Thunder high-speed strike drone.
As the head of the military department said, there "should be specialists of a fairly high class. Here, electroplating, engines, maintenance, life cycle contracts, there must be an enterprise that will carry out expeditionary services, meaning field services - where we have military units stationed with a large number of drones. They have to arrive there, serve."
At the same time, the Minister stressed that appropriate conditions should be created for all these specialists, including in terms of housing provision.
The Minister assessed the drone production created by Kronstadt in Dubna as good.
From the bmpd side, we point out that Rossiyskaya Gazeta also reported that during a visit to the enterprise, Sergei Shoigu was shown the first flight model of the Orion UAV with satellite communications equipment, and the commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Forces, Sergei Surovikin, presented S.
