MOSCOW, January 27 - RIA Novosti. The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, instructed the CEO of the Kronstadt company to create an enterprise for servicing drones supplied to the troops and noted the importance of providing conditions for the work of specialists.
The Minister on Thursday inspected Russia's first specialized factory for the production of large-sized military UAVs, which the Kronstadt company built in Dubna, near Moscow.
"There should be specialists of a fairly high class. Here electroplating, engines, maintenance, life cycle contracts, there must be an enterprise that will carry out expeditionary services, I mean field services - where we have military units stationed, armed with a large number of drones. They have to arrive there, serve," Shoigu said. At the same time, the Minister stressed that appropriate conditions should be created for all these specialists, including in terms of housing provision.
The minister assessed the production of drones created by Kronstadt in Dubna as "good".
Denis Manturov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Andrey Vorobyov, the Governor of the Moscow Region, also got acquainted with the new production.
