In Norilsk, a new fire and rescue unit with an area of more than a thousand square meters was opened in a solemn atmosphere, in which more than forty rescuers and firefighters will serve. It was built in the developing Oganer district with a population of almost five thousand people. Four newest Ural Next 5557 fire tankers have been delivered to its armament by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
At the opening ceremony, during his working trip to the region, the acting head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Alexander Chupriyan, noted the importance of logistical support for firefighters and rescuers stationed in the Arctic zone.
- The new fire station will protect socially significant facilities built according to special projects to work in the harsh conditions of the Arctic winter - a 15-storey hospital with a covid hospital and a perinatal center, - he said.
In addition, the acting Minister shared the future plans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Arctic. According to Alexander Chupriyan, construction of an object for basing equipment of the Arctic search and rescue squad is planned in the Arctic settlement of Dudinka.
- To ensure the safety of the village of Dixon, the construction of a pre-erected fire station is provided. And in the settlements of Karaul and Khatanga of the Taimyr municipal district, it is planned to build fire and rescue units," the acting minister said.
And according to the plans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Krasnoyarsk, it is planned to create an educational and sports multifunctional center "Planet of Safety".
