Ekaterinburg. January 27. INTERFAX - Calculations of the S-400 Triumph air defense systems conducted an exercise in the Urals to detect and destroy aircraft and helicopters of a simulated enemy and protect important objects from their attack, the Central Military District (CVO) reported on Thursday.
"The combat crews of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems, supported by the Nebo-M radar stations, covered important military, industrial and administrative facilities of the Ural region from air attack as part of the joint development of combat training tasks," the press service of the district reported.
According to the plan of the training, the calculations of radar stations at an altitude of 30 meters to 20 kilometers found about 1 thousand air objects, over 100 of them did not respond to the requests of the identification system.
"The S-400 combat crews performed guidance and conditional destruction of enemy aircraft and helicopters at the entrance of air targets into the affected area," the Central Military District clarified.
In total, during the training and combat duty, the servicemen repelled five massive airstrikes, single attacks by bomber aircraft of a conditional enemy, and also covered about 30 important objects.
"About 50 units of military equipment and about 300 military personnel were involved in the development of combat training tasks of air defense," the Central Military District noted.
