MOSCOW, January 27. /tass/. The rocket ship of the Caspian Flotilla "Tatarstan" of project 11661 has been docked at the Astrakhan Shipyard for repair and modernization. This was reported to TASS by a source in the ship repair industry.
"For the first time in winter conditions, the Tatarstan rocket ship was brought into the dock of the Astrakhan Ship Repair Plant, where its repair and modernization will be carried out. Previously, such operations were carried out only in the summer," he said.

"Tatarstan" is a patrol ship of project 11661 (code "Cheetah"). Joined the Russian Navy in 2003 and at one time became the flagship of the Caspian Flotilla. The ship is designed to perform a complex of tasks: search and combat underwater, surface and air targets, patrol duty, convoy operations, as well as protection of the maritime economic zone. Its main strike weapon is the Uran missile system with X-35 cruise missiles and a firing range of up to 260 km.
