The oceanographic research vessel "Evgeny Goriglejan", built in Kaliningrad by order of the Russian Defense Ministry, is preparing for the start of factory sea trials.
According to the press service of the Baltic Shipbuilding plant "Yantar", the vessel made the transition to Baltiysk from the water area of the plant. The delivery team of the plant works on board together with the crew.
Several trips to the sea are planned, during which all systems and mechanisms of the vessel will be checked. Upon completion of the factory sea trials, it is planned to transfer the Evgeny Goriglejan to the customer.

The OIS of project 02670 "Evgeny Goriglejan" was built as a result of the repair and re-equipment of the rescue tugboat MB-305. Work on the Yantar shipyard was started on March 19, 2016, and the vessel was launched on December 25, 2020.
The vessel is named after a Soviet and Russian design engineer, general designer of special-purpose nuclear submarines. Designed for underwater technical work, environmental monitoring of the marine environment, oceanographic survey of the bottom, assistance to search and rescue forces at sea, capable of taking on board underwater and rescue vehicles.
