Rostov-on-Don. January 26. INTERFAX-YUG - Units of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the combined Arms association of the Southern Military District in the Rostov Region, as part of planned operational and combat training exercises, were alerted by a training alarm and began marching to areas of combined arms ranges for exercises, the press service of the Southern Military District reported on Wednesday.
"Upon arrival in the designated areas, the units will work out a wide range of tasks, including the organization of comprehensive support for tactical exercises as part of battalion tactical groups. Live firing exercises will be conducted with them at the Kadamovsky and Kuzminsky ranges in the Rostov region," the report says.
It is noted that the exercises will allow assessing the readiness of troops to perform tasks after regrouping over long distances.
The press service of the Southern Military District told Interfax that more than a thousand servicemen of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the Southern Military District are involved in the exercises.
Earlier it was reported that more than 6 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District were raised on a training alert as part of the beginning of the combat readiness check of military units and formations.
