The combat readiness check with the participation of 60 combat vehicles takes place on the territory of the Volgograd and Rostov regions, the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea.
"Aviation formations and military units of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Federal District, as well as naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, as part of the combat readiness check, will work out interaction when carrying out missile strikes at the maximum distance of targets as part of squadrons of Su-27SM, Su-30SM2 fighters, as well as multifunctional Su-34 fighter bombers," the message says.
During the inspection, the transfer to operational airfields and the withdrawal of aircraft from the attack of a conditional enemy will be carried out.
Earlier on Tuesday, the commander of the Southern Military District, Alexander Dvornikov, began checking the combat readiness of formations and military units. More than 6 thousand servicemen have been withdrawn to the landfills of the district.
