Moscow. January 25. INTERFAX - In the Operational Group of Russian Troops (OGRV) in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, combat readiness classes were held, the press service of the Western Military District reported on Tuesday.
"In total, about 100 units of military equipment were involved in combat readiness classes," the report says.
"As part of the training, actions were worked out when receiving weapons and equipment, preparing equipment for leaving the fleet of combat vehicles and moving to areas of concentration, where, in turn, the main attention was paid to issues of camouflage, equipment of firing positions and preparation of equipment for the march," the ZVO noted.
"According to the results of the combat readiness classes, the personnel acted smoothly and coped with the tasks set. Combat readiness classes were planned," the press service stressed.
Last Saturday, the US Permanent Representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said that the US takes into account the possibility of a Russian attack on Ukraine from Transnistria. "We are monitoring every single border and interacting with all of Ukraine's neighbors to help them prepare for any actions that may come from Russia," she said in an interview with the Moldovan Jurnal TV channel.
