MOSCOW, January 24. /tass/. The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) is developing ammunition that can be used both from drones and from front-line aviation complexes. This was announced in an interview with TASS in honor of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the corporation by the general director of KTRV Boris Obnosov.
According to him, several KTRV enterprises are engaged in the development of small-sized adjustable bombs for UAVs. "It is noteworthy that they [ammunition] will be able to be used from front-line aviation complexes. The work is carried out on an initiative basis. It is assumed that the characteristics of these products will exceed foreign analogues," said the CEO of the corporation.
He stressed that the creation of ammunition for UAVs is one of the main priorities of KTRV.
"A scientific and technical reserve has been formed for the creation of inertial guidance systems and homing heads, which have found application in small-sized ammunition. The Corporation currently has all the scientific and technical competencies that make it possible to create high-precision aviation weapons of 50 kg and 100 kg caliber," he said.
KTRV was formed in March 2003 on the basis of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin of January 24, 2002. The Corporation became the first integrated structure of the Defense Industry of the Russian Federation, which concentrated scientific and production resources for the creation of advanced guided missiles and tactical guided missile systems.
