INTERFAX - The troops of the Central Military District (CVO) in 2022 will receive more than 1.3 thousand units of new and upgraded weapons and military equipment, including airplanes, helicopters and radar stations, the commander of the CVO troops Alexander Lapin told reporters.
"According to the equipment plan, this year the troops of the Central Military District will receive more than 1.3 thousand units of new and upgraded weapons and military equipment," Lapin said.
"In order to increase the combat power of the Air Force and air Defense association of the Central Military District and further improve the air defense system, 17 aircraft and helicopters will be put into service, and radio engineering regiments of the Volga region and Siberia will be reinforced with eight units of new and modernized mobile radar stations. These are, for example, the radar "Caste 2-2", "Podlet-M", "Defense", - he added.
