The APR-3ME sample is already at the stage of mass production, said Boris Obnosov, General Director of KTRV
MOSCOW, January 24. /tass/. Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) is developing new naval weapons, including a new generation high-speed anti-ship missile with an extended range. This was announced in an interview with TASS in honor of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the corporation by the general director of KTRV Boris Obnosov.
"Considerable attention is paid to the development of new anti-submarine missiles - the newest model of the APR-3ME is already at the stage of mass production. Moreover, the first batch of missiles has already been delivered. In the future, it will be replaced by a small-sized air-based anti-submarine torpedo, which will be distinguished by an increased range," said Obnosov.
According to him, the creation of new anti-ship weapons continues. "In particular, a high-speed anti-ship missile of a new generation is being developed with an increased range and flight speed, as well as with increased noise immunity. The modernization of the unique anti-torpedo/anti-submarine complex "Paket-NK-E" is being carried out. The possibility of installing it on small displacement ships is being considered," the CEO of the corporation noted.
KTRV was formed in March 2003 on the basis of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin of January 24, 2002. The Corporation became the first integrated structure of the Defense Industry of the Russian Federation, which concentrated scientific and production resources for the creation of advanced guided missiles and tactical guided missile systems.
