As reported PJSC "United Aircraft Corporation", shareholders of the United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC "UAC" of Rostec State Corporation) approved the accession to PJSC "UAC" of two subsidiary aircraft companies - JSC "Company "Sukhoi" and JSC "RSC "MiG". The majority of shareholders voted for the reorganization of the UAC in the form of joining Sukhoi and MIG during the extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the company held on January 17, 2022. The issue of reorganization was submitted to shareholders by the Board of Directors of UAC in November 2021.

The centralization of the management of Sukhoi and MiG companies was initiated earlier: the functions of the sole executive body (EIO) of MiG were with Sukhoi, and the functions of the EIO of Sukhoi were in PJSC UAC. After going through a series of procedures for several months, these three companies will become one organization. As a result, UAC will become not only a corporate center, but also an operating company that directly manages production and design bureaus, implements aviation programs and develops promising equipment. Thus, the planned transition from a 3-tier to a 2-tier corporate management structure in the corporation has been launched. At the same time, the strong and world-famous brands "Sukhoi" and "MiG" will remain, reputable design schools will continue to develop.
The merger with Sukhoi and MIG is part of the ongoing corporate transformation of UAC, which was approved by Rostec State Corporation. The changes are designed to reduce the number of management levels, simplify the corporate structure, eliminate duplicate administrative functions, and reduce general economic costs. At the same time, it is planned to develop corporate competence and service centers, expand cooperation of production sites for more effective implementation of aircraft construction programs. Along with other measures, this should ensure an increase in the financial stability and investment attractiveness of the UAC as a whole.
Consolidation and centralization of management is also underway in other areas of the UAC's activities. So, in November 2021, the Voronezh VASO aircraft factory, the Ulyanovsk Aviastar-SP enterprise and the Moscow-based EMZ were completed joining the Voronezh aviation plant, which is the center of the transport aviation division of PJSC Il. Myasishchev. The powers of the EIO in relation to PJSC Il itself have been transferred to PJSC UAC. The UAC also has such powers in relation to the center of the strategic aviation division of PJSC Tupolev, which includes, in addition to the Design Bureau of the same name in Moscow, the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov.
