Germany has blocked the transfer of German-made artillery from Estonia to Ukraine.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal with reference to German and Estonian officials.
According to the article of the American edition, unlike the United States, Great Britain, Poland and other allies, Berlin decided to ban the export of deadly weapons directly to Ukraine.
The authors of the material emphasize that the position of Germany indicates disagreements in the West on the issue of Ukraine.
An unnamed representative of the German authorities noted that direct deliveries of German weapons or their export through other countries are possible only after obtaining a special permit from Berlin, which in this case was not issued.
At the same time, the Estonian official said that the country's authorities are still trying to convince Germany to change its mind on this issue.
