The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, issued a festive order on the occasion of the Day of Engineering Troops, which is celebrated in Russia on January 21.
The Minister recalled that over the centuries-old history, military engineers have repeatedly shown heroism, loyalty to duty and the Motherland. "Their courage and selfless work both in wartime and in peacetime, during the elimination of the consequences of accidents and catastrophes, during humanitarian missions are worthy of the deepest respect and appreciation," the order says.
According to Shoigu, today, as before, the servicemen of the Engineering Troops are real professionals who skillfully master complex modern weapons and equipment, constantly improve their skills and combat training. The Defense Minister is confident that the personnel of the troops will continue to successfully solve all the tasks set, make a significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability.
Shoigu congratulated the Engineering Troops and veterans on the holiday, thanked them for their faithful service and conscientious work, wished everyone good health, prosperity and new achievements for the good of the Fatherland.
