Serial deliveries will begin in 2022

MOSCOW, January 20. /tass/. The hypersonic cruise missile of the sea-based "Zircon" completes state tests. Serial deliveries of the products will begin in 2022, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said on Thursday.

"The state tests of the hypersonic cruise missile of the sea-based "Zircon" are being completed. Its serial deliveries will begin in 2022," Krivoruchko reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at the single day of acceptance of military products.

In addition, he noted, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the modernized Western Command Post of the Space Echelon from the Unified Space Missile Attack Warning System (SPRN) took up experimental duty.

Krivoruchko recalled, in particular, that in 2021, a missile regiment equipped with the latest Avangard strategic missile system entered combat duty in the 13th Division of the Strategic Missile Forces.
