It is difficult to determine exactly which ATGM was used. As it is known from various sources, including the Turkish media, in the motley arsenal of the Kurds there were Soviet complexes "Fagot" and "Competition". We are talking about a portable, not a self-propelled version.
ATGM "Competition" was adopted in 1974. The 9M113 Konkurs anti-tank guided missile is equipped with a cumulative warhead weighing 2.75 kg. The ATGM has a semi-automatic control system with the transmission of commands via a wired communication line.
The missile is capable of destroying armored vehicles at a distance of up to 4 kilometers. The maximum flight speed reaches 250 meters per second. It is capable of piercing 600 millimeters of homogeneous armor at an angle of 90 degrees.
The missile of the Konkurs complex can also be used on the Fagot ATGM.
