Nebo-T radar stations have been received in the Central Military District
The Central Military District (CVO) received the Nebo-T radar stations, which will protect the Russian Volga region and the Urals from aerodynamic and ballistic threats, writes TASS.
"In the coming days, they will take up combat duty in the regions of the Urals and the Volga region," the press service of the Central Military District reports.
It is noted that the "Sky-T" allows you to find and accompany air threats within a radius of up to 600 kilometers.
In March 2020, TASS, citing a source in the military-industrial complex, reported that the second over-the-horizon radar "Container", whose radar field will cover almost the whole of Europe, will be deployed near Kaliningrad.
In April of the same year, Izvestia, citing sources in the Russian Defense Ministry, reported that the Nebo-M and Podlet radars, enhanced by the Foundation-M automatic control system (ACS), would cover the sky of the Far East.
In October 2019, Kirill Makarov, Director General of NIIDAR, reported that the placement of the "Container" in the depths of Russia was explained by the existence of a dead zone with a radius of 900 kilometers.
