TSAMTO, January 17. On January 6, the French company Dassault Aviation published preliminary results for 2021. As noted, 55 aircraft were delivered to customers in 2021, compared with 47 units a year earlier.
In 2021, Dassault Aviation handed over 25 Rafale multipurpose fighters to export customers, which is 12 units more than in the previous year. The company also delivered 30 Falcon business liners, which is five more than predicted, but four less compared to the previous year.
Dassault Aviation received orders for 49 Rafale fighters and 51 Falcon aircraft in 2021, compared with no orders and 15 units, respectively, in 2020.
The company attributed the low volume of orders in 2020 to economic uncertainty and travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The order for Rafale fighters in 2021 amounted to 37 aircraft for export and 12 units for the French Armed Forces.
The contract signed in December 2021 with the UAE for the purchase of 80 Rafale fighters is not included in the final report. Dassault Aviation did not explain the reasons for the absence of this contract in the report.
As of the end of 2021, the order portfolio of Dassault Aviation amounted to 86 units of Rafale (excluding the contract with the UAE) and 55 units of Falcon, compared with 62 units of Rafale and 34 units of Falcon a year earlier.
The company intends to submit a full report on its activities in 2021 in March 2022.
