CASC announced the launch of the Shiyan-13 spacecraft into orbit
The Chinese spacecraft "Shiyan-13" was successfully put into orbit. The launch of the Changzheng-2D launch vehicle with the spacecraft took place on January 17. This is reported by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), Interfax reports.
"On January 17, at 10:35 Beijing time (5:35 Moscow Time), the Changzheng-2D launch vehicle launched from the launch center of the Taiyuan Cosmodrome, sending the Shiyan-13 spacecraft into its intended orbit. The mission has been recognized as completely successful," CASC said in a statement.
The Chinese corporation reported that the Shiyan-13 satellite is designed to monitor outer space and conduct tests.
In December, a representative of the US Space Forces reported that Russia and China conduct daily attacks on American space satellites.
In July, Chinese cosmonauts went into outer space for the first time in 13 years. Astronauts of the Chinese orbital station under construction exited the Tianhe module.
