The newest small rocket ship "Cyclone" of the Karakurt project, built for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Kerch, is completing factory sea trials, the head of the Fleet information support department, Captain of the second rank Alexey Rulev, told reporters on Friday.
The Cyclone small rocket ship of Project 22800 was launched at the B.E. Butoma Gulf shipyard in Kerch in July 2020. This is the first ship of the three of this project, which are being built at the enterprise.
During the test, the team tested the ship's life support, energy and survivability systems, autonomous operation of communications, ventilation and air conditioning, speed, maneuverability and stability indicators of the ship, the navy reported.
The ship successfully tested radar and electronic weapons, as well as artillery and anti-aircraft weapons. In the naval training ground of the fleet, combat firing took place both in normal mode and at maximum angles of rotation and ascent for simulators of sea, coastal and air targets.
The ship's systems, devices and mechanisms are being audited at the Cyclone, and the MRC is being prepared for the final stage of state tests, which begin next week.
The MRK of the Karakurt project is armed with a universal missile system with Kalibr missiles, an AK-176MA artillery installation, an anti-aircraft missile system Pantsir-M, and large-caliber machine-gun installations. The cruising range of the ship is 2.5 thousand miles, the autonomy is 15 days.
