Istanbul. January 14th. INTERFAX - Large Landing Ship (BDK) The Russian Navy "Orsk", having passed the Bosphorus, entered the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Istanbul observers reported in social networks, publishing photos of its passage through the strait.
According to them, the BDK "Orsk" is heading to the Syrian port of Tartus, where the logistics base of the Russian Navy is located in the Mediterranean Sea.
Judging by the draft of the ship, it was heavily loaded.
The last time BDK "Orsk" made a trip to the Mediterranean Sea in December. In the same month, the BDK "Caesar Kunikov" also went there.
Currently, a Russian squadron consisting of more than ten warships and auxiliary vessels operates on a permanent basis in the Mediterranean Sea.
