The crews of the Su-34 CVO destroyed the "enemy" aircraft during combat training sorties
The crews of Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers worked out overcoming the air defense system (air defense), destroying the airfield and enemy aircraft. The Su-34 aviation Division of the Central Military District (CVO) fulfilled the tasks during the first combat training sorties in 2022. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Central Military District.
"As part of the task development, the crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers carried out about 20 bomb attacks on the conditional objects of the enemy's airfield infrastructure and carried out more than 30 launches of unguided C-13 air—to-surface missiles," the report said.
During combat training sorties, the crews overcame the echeloned air defense system of the conditional enemy with the help of the radio-electronic complex "Khibiny". The planes operated at a minimum altitude of about 50 meters. After that, the pilots carried out rocket and bomb attacks.
The exercises also involved Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, up to 20 units of ground equipment and about 150 military personnel.
Earlier, the US noted the ability of the Su-34 to carry a large amount of fuel. The publication of The Drive stressed that this allows you to perform long-range missions without refueling in the air.
