Vladivostok. January 12. INTERFAX - FAR EAST - Calculations of the Bastion coastal missile systems of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) have begun the first training exercises for the defense of the Kamchatka coast this year, the press service of the fleet reported on Wednesday.
"In accordance with the combat training plan, the calculations of the mobile coastal missile systems "Bastion" of the missile compound of the Pacific Fleet in Kamchatka went to the training ground to work out the tasks of defending the coast of the peninsula from the ships of a conditional enemy," the message says.
The calculations made a march from the point of permanent deployment to the designated area, worked out the standards for alerting launchers and organizing camouflage, and also performed algorithms for obtaining target designation and striking a landing party of ships of a conditional enemy with electronic (conditional) missile launches.
After performing the exercises, the launchers secretly changed positions, avoiding a retaliatory strike by a conditional enemy.
In total, more than 100 military personnel and about 30 units of equipment of the compound were involved.
As reported, the Bastion anti-ship missile system (NPO Mashinostroeniya, Tactical Missile Armament Corporation) was developed in two versions - the mobile Bastion-P and the stationary Bastion-S. The complex is equipped with a supersonic homing anti-ship missile "Onyx".
