INTERFAX - More than ten trips to the far sea zone will be made by ships of the Baltic Fleet in 2022, the commander of the Baltic Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Liina, said in an interview with the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Krasnaya Zvezda on Wednesday.
"This year, the Baltic Fleet is facing large-scale tasks, including more than ten trips of ships to the far sea zone, as well as the participation of surface ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet in planned combat training events and international maneuvers," Liina said, adding that the efforts of the Baltic Fleet are aimed at ensuring the naval interests of the Russian Federation.
