VLADIVOSTOK, January 11. /tass/. A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) during a long-distance campaign passed the Strait of Malaka and entered the Indian Ocean, the press service of the fleet reported on Tuesday.
"A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet consisting of the Nakhimov Guards Order of the Varyag missile cruiser, the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs and the large sea tanker Boris Butoma, having passed the Strait of Malaka, entered the Indian Ocean. The ships of the Pacific Fleet went on a long voyage a few days before the new year 2022," the press service reported.
It is clarified that at the crossing in the Japanese, East China and South China Seas, the crews of the ships conducted a series of planned exercises to combat the survivability of ships. The personnel of the emergency rescue groups conducted training in several scenarios. The servicemen fulfilled the standards for collecting emergency batches, equipping in fire suits, searching and sealing a conditionally burning compartment, as well as eliminating a conditional hole.
It is planned that during the long-distance cruise, the ships will visit the ports of a number of states, including the Republic of Seychelles. The call will be timed to coincide with the 105th anniversary of the visit by the armored cruiser "Varyag" of the Russian fleet to the port of Victoria of the Seychelles. During the campaign, planned, including international, exercises will be held as part of a detachment of warships in various areas.
