The AN-225 Mriya was found to have malfunctions of the main landing gear before departure from Poland
The Ukrainian transport aircraft of the AN-225 "Mriya" extra-large payload damaged the main landing gear before taking off from Poland. This is reported by Liga.net with reference to the press service of the Antonov aircraft manufacturing company.
It is clarified that the departure of the world's largest aircraft had to be delayed due to a "minor technical malfunction." To eliminate the identified breakdown, an AN-26 aircraft with specialists on board was sent to help the ship. They will inspect the "Mriya", fix the problem and, if necessary, check other details.
"We have to fix it pretty quickly. This will be clear when the team [of technicians] arrives at the site," the press service said.
Earlier, An-225 "Mriya" demolished a fence when landing at a private airport in Cotswold, Great Britain. With air flows, the plane knocked down a fence placed around the perimeter of the runway. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
