Moscow. January 9th. INTERFAX - The start of sea trials of the Sharp corvette is scheduled for the end of January, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported on Sunday.
"The Sharp Corvette is now in Vladivostok at the delivery base of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. The new building is undergoing a stage of mooring tests, and at the end of January, the first independent exit of the corvette for state sea trials is planned," the report says.
According to the press service, the corvette in 2022 should become part of the Pacific Fleet.
The press service added that this year the Magadan diesel submarine will also arrive at the fleet.
Now the TOPF includes corvettes of project 20380 "Perfect", "Loud" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov".
The Project 20380 corvette is designed for operations in the near sea zone and for fighting enemy surface ships and submarines, as well as for artillery support of amphibious assault during amphibious operations.
The ships are armed with anti-ship missiles "Uranus", anti-aircraft missile system "Redut", artillery complex A-190, anti-submarine complex "Paket-NK". The ships are capable of taking on board the Ka-27 helicopter.
The project embodies the latest solutions to reduce the physical fields of the ship, it was possible to significantly reduce the radar visibility of corvettes through the use of innovative materials and the architectural layout of the hull and superstructure.
Magadan is the third submarine of Project 636.3 in the series, which is being built for the Pacific Fleet.
The contract for the construction of this series of submarines was signed in September 2016. The first ship, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, was transferred to the Russian Navy on November 25, 2019. The Volkhov submarine, the second in the series, joined the fleet on October 24, 2020. In the summer of 2021, it was reported that these two submarines were working out tasks in the Baltic before moving to the Pacific Fleet base.
By 2024, the Russian Navy plans to receive the entire series of six diesel-electric submarines of Project 636.3, which are being built at Admiralty Shipyards purposefully to equip the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet.
The military reported that the fourth submarine of the Pacific series - Ufa - is forming a light hull, pipe and electrical work. The fifth and sixth submarines of the series - Mozhaysk and Yakutsk - were laid down at the Admiralty Shipyards in August 2021.
Submarines of Project 636.3 are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles (developed by the Novator Design Bureau, Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region JSC).
