Several dozen units of the interspecific artillery complex "Coalition-SV" will enter service with the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District in 2022. This was reported by the press service of the ZVO.
Such deliveries are provided for by a state contract, which last summer the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation concluded with the Ural Plant of Transport Engineering within the framework of the Army-2021 forum.
It is known that the newest self-propelled artillery gun 2C35 of the interspecific artillery complex "Coalition-SV" has a powerful cannon 2A88 caliber 152 mm, capable of producing more than 10 rounds per minute. The self-propelled gun's armament also includes a remote-controlled 6C21 turret with a 12.7 mm Cord machine gun. The self-propelled howitzer is also equipped with a modern automation system for the processes of gun guidance, target selection and navigation.
The Coalition-SV complex is installed on the platform of the T-90 tank. The self-propelled gun is designed to defeat the entire range of ground targets - from command posts and communication centers to artillery and mortar batteries, armored vehicles and air defense - missile defense systems, as well as enemy manpower. The new howitzer will reach all these targets at a distance of up to 70 km.
The workplaces of the gunner and the commander of the self-propelled artillery installation are equipped with digital displays and integrated into a single automated tactical control system. It allows you to receive target indications via a digital communication channel, carry out round-the-clock monitoring of the terrain, perform autonomous calculation of firing installations and fire correction in all weather conditions.
In general, the "Coalition-SV" refers to a new generation of self-propelled guns and in its main tactical and technical characteristics - rate of fire, range, accuracy of fire - surpasses modern domestic and foreign analogues.
One of the main features of the 2C35 is the possibility of remote control of shooting, the accuracy of which is provided by the automated control system for the processes of weapon guidance, target selection and navigation. In addition, according to safety requirements, the crew of the self-propelled gun is isolated from the combat compartment.
The fundamental difference between the Coalition-SV and the upgraded Msta-S howitzer is that the combat compartment with a gun in the turret on the Coalition is deserted - the crew of three people is located in the control compartment in the front of the chassis.
