The network published a video of the interception of a missile by MiG-29 fighters during exercises in Iran
A new video of the exercises of the Iranian Air Force aircraft, which practiced the interception and destruction of the simulator of the TDU-11B cruise missile, has been published online. MiG-29 fighters hit the target with melee missiles. This is reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
During the exercises, which took place in October 2021, the F-5 Tiger II aircraft launched an air target. Then the MiG-29s went out to intercept the target and launched R-73 air-to-air missiles. They are distinguished by a head with an infrared homing system, high maneuverability and the ability to track through a helmet-mounted targeting system.
For the first time, a video of exercises involving the MiG-29 and F-5 Tiger II was published at the end of October 2021. Then the footage was shot by an operator from the ground.
