Roscosmos CEO Rogozin: Russia plans to launch 50-75 missiles annually
Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of Roscosmos, said that Russia intends to increase the number of space launches by two or three times. This is reported by RBC .
He noted that by the end of 2021, Russia launched 25 launch vehicles. At the same time, a total of 76 trouble-free launches were made, and 340 spacecraft were put into orbit. Rogozin added that with the beginning of the active stage of the deployment of the orbital multi-satellite grouping "Sphere", Russia plans to launch 50-75 missiles annually.
In addition, the head of the Russian corporation noted that the use of a heavy-class oxygen-hydrogen upper stage (KVTK) will increase the payload capacity of the launch vehicle, its capacity will exceed 30 tons.
In August, Dmitry Rogozin said that the state corporation would receive the first funds to create a scientific and technical reserve under the Sphere program in the coming days. "At first, we are talking about seven billion rubles, which should be implemented to create a scientific and technical reserve, that is, not the grouping itself, but the prototypes of the grouping," he said.
