"For 2022, it is planned to repair another 42 thousand square meters of artificial turf at the airfields of Millerovo, Marinovka, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krymsk. We have to lay more than 3,500 PAG plates (airfield smooth plates - approx. TASS)," Gostev said.
He specified that in 2021, work was carried out to repair the artificial covering of airfields in the Rostov region and Stavropol: Morozovsk, Rostov (Central), Zernograd, Budennovsk. 57 thousand square meters of artificial turf, almost 6 thousand slabs were repaired. Scheduled flights are being carried out again at these airfields.
In addition, at the airfields of Belbek (Sevastopol) and Korenovsk (Krasnodar Territory), work on the construction of 39 service and technical development facilities is coming to an end. A boiler room, a training area, engineering networks and other facilities are being built. "All these measures will improve the conditions of service of the Air Force and air Defense personnel, improve the quality of combat training and help to successfully solve combat training and special tasks," Gostev said.
