The disinfection robot from Sber entered the top three inventions patented in 2021. This was stated by the head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev in an interview with RIA Novosti .
The top three also included a composite material with an antibacterial effect and insulin in tablets. "Whole new technologies are being created for life and in a covid situation," Ivliev said.
In the first place was a composite material patented by the Emanuel Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It can be used to make many household items with a high level of antibacterial effectiveness.
The robot from Sber is located in the second place of the rating. The machine can independently navigate in space, memorize its route, assess the degree of contamination and the duration of disinfection.
"Its main advantage is not only an intelligent way to evaluate and select the most effective route, taking into account the characteristics of the room and its furnishings, but also a way to estimate the duration of disinfection using UV lamps installed in the device, depending on a variety of parameters. For example, it depends on the degree of purity of the air or the amount of oxygen in the room, the number of people in the room," the head of Rospatent described the work of the disinfectant.
Insulin in tablets was in third place. Chemists from Nizhny Novgorod University solved the problem with the fact that the insulin from the tablets did not have time to get into the bloodstream, as the medicine was broken down too quickly in the stomach.
As Ivliev explained, the selection of the best inventions is made by experts of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property. It is attended by specialists from nine industry departments of the Institute.
