Technodinamika Holding will develop a shock version of the VM-V unmanned helicopter
Russian unmanned helicopters will be able to carry weapons. Technodinamika Holding of Rostec State Corporation is upgrading unmanned helicopter simulator targets (VM-V). The drone will be able to perform strike and reconnaissance missions. This is reported by TASS with reference to the general director of the holding Igor Nasenkov.
Work on the upgraded drone is aimed at increasing the payload, range and duration of the flight. The CEO of the holding noted that the improved VM-V model will be able to perform reconnaissance, provide real-time targeting and carry weapons.
Unmanned VM-V helicopters can stay in the air for up to two hours. The maximum altitude of the drone is 2.5 kilometers. The unmanned helicopter simulator target is designed to be used as a simulator of simulated enemy aircraft.
Earlier, the press service of the Technodinamika holding reported that a batch of VM-V drones will be handed over to the Russian military in 2022.
Unmanned targets-imitators of the VM-V helicopter were used at the exercises "Slavic Shield-2021" in November. They simulated an air raid by a simulated enemy.
