TSAMTO, December 30. The opening of the renovated completion embankment No. 6 took place at the Yantar PSZ (part of USC JSC). The reconstruction was carried out as part of the modernization program of the enterprise.
The opening ceremony of the completed embankment on December 29 was attended by the commander of the Baltic Fleet Viktor Liina, representatives of the USC management, factory workers and employees of Stream Project LLC, who completed the reconstruction work.
The symbolic red ribbon was cut by Ilya Samarin, General Director of the Yantar plant, Alexander Galkin, Director of the USC Capital Construction Department, and Oleg Kramarenko, General Director of Stream Project LLC.
I.Samarin congratulated everyone on another important milestone on the way to the global modernization of the enterprise and stressed that the Kaliningrad contractor did everything efficiently and on time.
"Full-fledged operation of the embankment will begin after the installation of cranes, which are supplied to us by another Kaliningrad enterprise – Baltkran. I think that in March of the coming year we will receive ships here. Of course, we would not have been able to carry out such construction on our own, and I am grateful to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Shipbuilding Corporation for including the plant in the federal target program. The state program, within the framework of which the reconstruction of the completed embankments is underway, will help us to reach a new level of construction orders. The commissioning of the renovated embankment No. 6 with modern infrastructure will allow the plant to conduct optimal completion of vessels," I. Samarin said.
Next year, Yantar plans to begin the reconstruction of the completed embankment No. 5, two more embankments are next in line. Further modernization plans include the construction of a new floating dock and a hull-processing workshop.
"This is a good end to the year, and these are real plans for the future that we will definitely fulfill," summed up the General Director of the Yantar Plant.
