"During the summit in India (the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held in New Delhi on December 6 - approx. A long-awaited contract was signed for the licensed production of AK-203 assault rifles with the prospect of an unprecedented 100 percent localization level in the country. Negotiations on new breakthrough topics in the field of military-technical cooperation have also been launched in New Delhi," the head of Rosoboronexport added.
According to him, the list of the most anticipated export-oriented novelties of 2021 includes five samples of equipment. "The top 5 export samples presented in 2021 included the Checkmate light tactical aircraft, which was exhibited at MAKS and Dubai Airshow, the Orion-E reconnaissance and strike complex, the Tosochka MLRS with thermobaric ammunition, the AK-19 Kalashnikov assault rifle and the S-350E Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system, shown in Russia and abroad," Mikheev listed.

At the same time, we see the core of demand in defensive systems designed to protect the sovereignty of our partners and repel threats from the air, sea and land borders, as well as in means of combating terrorism," Mikheev said.
According to the press service, increased attention was also paid to other latest samples of Russian-made products. "In particular, high interest was shown in the Pantsir-S1M anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex, the Krasukha electronic warfare complex and the Repellent Patrol small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles, which were contracted for the first time in 2021," Rosoboronexport informed.
