According to a colleague of dambiev, in a distributed video clip dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the armed forces and the 110th anniversary of the Ministry of Defense of the Mongolian People's Republic, six two-seat MiG-29UB combat training fighters were demonstrated at once. Thus, apparently, the Mongolian Air Force received four more MiG-29UB aircraft from Russia, in addition to the two MiG-2U9B transferred The Russian Federation of Mongolia in the framework of military-technical assistance from the presence of the Russian Aerospace Forces in November 2019.

It should be noted that Mongolia's receipt of six MiG-29UB combat training fighters may indicate that the Russian side is preparing to transfer to it a significant batch of single-seat MiG-29 fighters.
Recall that the Air Force and Air Defense of the Mongolian People's Army had jet fighters since 1969, when 12 MiG-17F fighters (originally piloted by Soviet pilots) and four MiG-15UTI combat training aircraft were received from the USSR, on the basis of which the 137th military unit (squadron) was formed at Nalaykh airfield (near Ulaanbaatar). In 1977, the 137th military unit in Nalaikh was deployed to the regimental composition (two, and eventually three squadrons in total) and deliveries of MiG-21 series fighters from the USSR Air Force began - in 1977, eight MiG-21PF fighters and four MiG-21UM combat training aircraft were received. A total of 40 MiG-21PF/PFM and four MiG-21UM fighters were delivered to the MNR until 1984, which made it possible to remove MiG-17F aircraft from service. However, since the late 1980s, the number of Mongolian combat aircraft began to decline rapidly, and by the end of 1993, 15 MiG-21PFM and three MiG-21UM remained in the 137th unit. They were operated in a gradually decreasing number until 2007, after which the Mongolian Air Force and Air Defense had only helicopters.
The 137th unit in Nalaikh was later renamed the 337th unit (now in the status of an airbase), and thus, its receipt of MiG-29UB aircraft from the end of 2019 allowed it to restore the "jet" potential of Mongolian aviation.
