The combat launch of an anti-aircraft missile was carried out by the crew of the Baltic Fleet corvette "Savvy" during a tactical exercise off the coast of the Kaliningrad region.
As reported in the information support department of the press service of the Baltic Fleet, the crew repelled a blow inflicted by a conditional enemy with an anti-ship missile. A sophisticated aerial target missile was launched from the small Passat rocket ship of the Baltic Naval Base.
From the "Savvy" successfully hit the target using the sea-based anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Redut". The shooting was carried out in a difficult jamming situation: the conditional enemy used electronic countermeasures. The exercise took place in a marine training ground, which was temporarily declared dangerous for civilian shipping. Security in the area of missile launches was provided by more than ten surface ships and fleet support vessels.
