Moscow. December 29. INTERFAX - The Russian military is developing methodological manuals for the preparation of calculations of the new Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which they plan to start putting on combat duty next year, as well as the Sirena-M command missile.
"To train the personnel of the missile regiments of the Strategic Missile Forces for modern missile systems, such as Sarmat, Sirena-M, appropriate regulatory, program and methodological documents are being developed," said Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov in an interview with the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Krasnaya Zvezda.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the new intercontinental missile "Sarmat" will begin to enter the Strategic Missile Forces in 2022 after the completion of tests.
ICBM RS-28 "Sarmat" will replace the world's most powerful strategic mine-based missile RS-20V "Voevoda" (according to NATO classification - SS-18 "Satan") in the Uzhurskaya (Krasnoyarsk Territory) and Dombarovskaya (Orenburg region) divisions of the RVSN.
In 2019, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko announced plans to conclude a contract for the manufacture of a mobile complex of command missiles "Sirena-M" with their delivery in the period up to 2025.
According to media reports, command missiles are part of the complex of automatic control of a massive retaliatory nuclear strike. "According to the open press, they are launched to transmit commands to launch missiles if the enemy has already destroyed the military and political leadership of the country, so in the West they were called the "Dead Hand" system," Vedomosti newspaper reported earlier.
Yevkurov, in an interview with the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, said that in the near future, taking into account the experience of combat training and the use of new weapons, it is planned to make changes to a number of fundamental documents of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"According to the decision of the Minister of Defense, this work will be carried out in the period from 2022 to 2025. Its main content will be the introduction of new provisions in combat regulations, manuals on the actions of troops, manuals (courses and rules) on tactics and training of formations and units of various types and branches of the armed forces, taking into account the experience accumulated during combat training and the use of new models of weapons and military equipment," the Deputy Minister said.
According to him, the revision of four manuals, five manuals, one charter, six training courses, five collections of standards and other documents is planned for 2022.
