In Indonesia, a mysterious object was discovered that caused a lot of noise. Recall that some time ago, an unidentified floating tank approached one of the drilling platforms located in the coastal waters.
A similar object was found in Riau Islands this morning
Authorities managed to tow it to a nearby navy #TNIAL outpost
Judging by the looks and how it stays afloat, this might be the same object that was found last week and indeed, a (good looking) mock-up

However, he did not take any hostile actions, and soon he was carried away by the current. The Indonesian Navy tried to detect the uninvited guest, but weather conditions did not allow it to be done promptly.
On the photos that appeared on the global network at that time, not very good quality, it was possible to see some details of this "ghost". He really looked like a fighting machine or a relatively well-made dummy.
And now it became known that the "tank" was found, it was taken in tow and dragged to a nearby naval base.
Judging by the published images and video materials, the Indonesians managed to get a mock-up resembling a Chinese Type 15/ZTQ-15 light tank (export designation VT-5), armed with a 105-mm cannon.
However, in comparison with the real sample, imitations of the sight and the commander's panorama were reversed on it. It can be seen that the lower frontal part is completely missing. However, it is unclear how the elements of the "chassis" are made.
Interestingly, the Type 15/ZTQ-15 was supposed to be used for arming the PLA Marines at one time, but it cannot stay on the water.
Apparently, previously made assumptions are confirmed: the model made for some purpose was washed away by the waves, and instead of going to the bottom, he was able to swim to Indonesia. Not necessarily its owners are some military structures - in China there are a lot of companies engaged in the manufacture of full-scale copies of military equipment: foreign, for example, Russian, American, and domestic, which are in service with the People's Liberation Army.
